Rise Again

The waves have washed over

And im swept ashore

I felt like im drowning

but thats no more

I take a deep breath

Breath in the air

It fills me with hope

Replaces despair

The sun shines bright

Its rays hug my skin

My breathing is paced

And I look within

My feet sink into the sand

This is the land

On which I stand

The wind and the birds

Sing their song of peace

My heart sings along

And breaths so deep
